Music legend Elton John has stirred a controversy after claiming that Jesus Christ was gay.

In an interview given to America’s Parade magazine, the 62-year-old singer said, “I think Jesus was a compassionate, super-intelligent gay man who understood human problems.”

The star and Camila Alves were out partying when they stumbled into a gay bar and became the center of attention.

It had nothing to do with the stunning Brazilian - the lesbians all wanted to get close to her man.

Alves says, "We go in and I'm like, 'Yes! Victory!' because everywhere we go, everybody loves Matthew - I do too - but sometimes you want to not have people bother you. We're in a lesbian bar, now it's my turn - people are gonna hit on me. That didn't happen
