Writer-comedian Carol Leifer, who created CBS' "The Ellen Show," has reunited with the network for a lesbian comedy partly inspired by her own experiences.
The project, tentatively titled "You and Me and He," centers on a recently divorced woman who enters a gay relationship only to find out that she is pregnant with her ex-husband's baby. (In real life, Leifer became a lesbian when she was 40, 10 years after her divorce, and has adopted a son with her partner.)
The project is one of two half-hour projects that Leifer has in the works. The Showtime comedy "Mouthpiece" is set at a high-powered law firm. It also has a lesbian connection since it will star Marlee Matlin who recently co-starred on the cable channel's "The L Word."
