The adventurous actress, who plays Claire Bennet in the BBC2 hit, is set to raise the temperature when she has a lesbian fling in the next series.
She said: "I kinda threw it out there. They [the writers] put you in relationships and I was like, 'Can I just be with a girl or something? Let's do that.'
"So they took it and ran with it."
In the sizzling scenes Claire will locks lips with her college roommate Madeleine Zima.
And the petite blonde seemed to be pretty into the idea too.
Hayden added: "She's a great girl and we have a blast."
