It is funny how being in love sometimes makes you feel so unsure about yourself; one moment you know…then next…not a clue; crazy feelings of can’t stand that person flow into the insanity of never wanting to imagine life without that person
When couples who have been married for a long time are asked what is it that makes it work…..most say the willingness to work; that at the end of the day if one of them falls they know without question that their other half is there to help pick them up. A friend, who married her husband twice…and they are still together today once told me that being in love is a conscious decision that a person makes everyday; you don’t necessarily fall into a love relationship…and it just doesn’t happen….it takes hard work. There is no instant click of love….the perfection of a relationship means that you tough it out….together.
When storms come, and they will; does your connection have the strength to withstand the mightiest of winds? Is the foundation built on mortar or quicksand? Can you weather the pain to have the joy? If yes….beautiful…If no…can you work towards a yes? And if still no, acceptance is the key which will free you.
The sadness, pain, headaches, tears, heartaches, unsure-ness, goes hand in hand with the joy, laughter, love, heart pounding wanting/needing (because love is a need) that being in love brings. To risk all for love…is a great and noble thing that takes courage to reach beyond what you see to a place of knowing/faith….Perfect Faith /Perfect Love
To miss out on that chance may mean dying without knowing the feeling of being truly alive.
The totality of being in love….is worth all…for being In Love really does means being ALIVE
