The Day of Silence 2007, three girls walk into those empty school halls, expecting that day to go just as past days have gone. Dressed out in high class bright rainbow, covered with words to spill into someones soul. The day goes by gracefully not a word was said, then detentions being handed out to those being silent. One women gets blackmailed by the principle, she could either take her supporting shirt off or not walk across that stage she was dreaming of since she began highschool. We three girls march to the principles office not saying a word, but standing strong with our shirts at full view, they take us into the office where they begin to tell how under certain circumstances we needed to take our shirts off, stating we were in danger by a anti-gay group was planning an attack, but in Oil City there are more supporters of GL BT youth then there is not. so we refused to take our shirts off, so they kicked us out of school. We got a lawsuit by at least the end of April, started a GLBT youth group in Oil City, P-FLAG came to support us, the principle gives me a lot more respect now and lets me dress as gay tastic as I want. Although now alot of people are afraid to celebrate Day of Silence, although it allowed. that's only one of my many stories.
